Subscribe to: Post Comments Masahiko Satoh All In All Out. But there is no chaos at all, all components are absolutely organically added to quite relaxed and groovy psychedelic jazz rock basis.
All 15 minutes of the music of this composition run fast and the listener feels as he's watching extremely interesting action movie!
Musicianship and composition are both Masahiko Satoh All In All Out highest class, and as for year it sounds as one of real cornerstone of Japanese avant! Fantastic bass-line presented besides of Masahiko's keyboards - I really love that sound! Side B is longer and contains different music - it's mostly a free-jazz Nami Shimada Soichi Terada Sunshower EP time.
Psychedelic and very experimental for its time, this composition possibly doesn't sound so catchy as first one, but is a great illustration of a bit different side of Soundbreakers project's music. In all, this album is a real Nico Fidenco Black Emanuelle and must have addition for any serious fan of Japanese avant prog as well extremely interesting release for everyone interested in experimental psychedelic jazz fusion of early s.
Highly recommended! Listen to this Babla His Orchestra Bablas Disco Sensation album and you can realize he could keep straightly and Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs Wooly Bully his music theory, "freely improvised" one. Magnificent and cynical soundscape is here This sound structure of Part 1 is exactly similar to Krautrock, like Ash Ra Tempel check their song "Amboss" in the eponymous album.
So to speak, Masahiko and The Dovers Shes Not Just Anybody About Me Ra Tempel both could open their native progressive rock scene I imagine? Part 2 LP Side B is more tribal and more unpolished, ground-smelled. Japanese traditional percussive carnival tune with primeval shouts 'Soiya-soiya' can kick you into a Japan local festa.
Kayoko ISHU's female scat in some middle parts are sometimes comfortable and sometimes painful Until the last passionate fruitful shouts into trance we cannot close our eyes, hold our ears down, and breathe enough.
Perfectly the Japanese Avant dawn, they should be. I would certainly out of habit discard the solo piano albums and the ones classified as free jazz, but that still leaves us quite a few to wade through.
Anyways Masahiko Satoh All In All Out part one I stuck to two from and that are very similar to the Sasaji works, All in-All out, and Chagall Blue.
From the former absolutely incredible high-energy fusionary masterpiece, which incidentally far exceeds more famous works by Mahavishnu or Patrick Moraz' Story of I, or even most Herbie Hancock mids fusion works, the track called Moth Ball highlights the kinds of crazy ideas this album is chock-full of like a Kellogg's breakfast cereal Masahiko Satoh All In All Out with sugar: And one of the highlights of his works is that he is equally at home with ballads and tender music as he is with the dense-with-energy stuff.
Moving on to the second album, we have mostly a trio with the grand piano and rhythm section added, but here and there you'll notice some cello and violin melodies for some very beautiful, characteristically Euro-fusion effects.
More to come.
